Osun: Dotun Babayemi, Supporters To Formally Leave PDP For APC In Osogbo Next Tomorrow

All arrangements have been made  to organize  a ‘mega’ defection ceremony   for  Prince Dotun Babayemi, a former Osun state PDP gubernatorial aspirant, and his supporters next tomorrow, the state APC submitted on Wednesday.

 .

 Osun state APC  chairman , Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, in a statement issued in Osogbo on Wednesday,  and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi,  noted that the defection ceremony has been scheduled to hold on  Friday, May 17, 2024, at 10 am.

It will hold  at the State  APC Secretariat , along Osogbo-Gbongan road, Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo.

Lawal urged all members and supporters of the APC in the state to make it a point of duty to grace the occasion ‘in their usual orderly manner’.

He assured APC members and supporters and those who are defecting to the party that everything humanly possible has been put in place in order to make the occasion a superlative success.

The state APC chairman also asked all  party  stakeholders  to put in their possible best both individually and collectively in order to achieve the desired goal  which is ‘ further fortification of the party’.

He equally assured Prince Babayemi and his  supporters who are defecting to the APC that there would be equal opportunity for them and the old members of the party.

Lawal congratulated those who are defecting to the party for their wise decision, telling them that ‘it’s God Almighty that has been their political pathfinder as the APC is a party of the people’.

‘It is not an overstatement to state that the Osun state is a traditional APC enclave  and any other party that may be occupying a political space in the state is a mere tenant that will soon be shown the way out of the state.

The more the merrier. Let us work assiduously towards the next series of elections in the state and take back our state.
