Landlord Collapses, Dies During Argument With Tenant In Ogun
A landlord in Ogun state, Mr Benjamin Apeh, has collapsed and died during an argument with his tenant over unpaid rent.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that spokesperson for the Ogun state Police Command, Omolola Odutola, who disclosed this in a statement she issued in Abeokuta on Tuesday, added that the incident occurred on Sunday in Arigbabu Village, Sotubo , Sagamu local government.
Odutola said a suspected murder case was reported on Monday at 5 pm, by the daughter of the deceased landord, Precious Apeh.
She told the police that her father had an argument with the tenant at 7.20pm, on Saturday, over unpaid house rent and again, at about 6:30 a.m., on Sunday, she overheard her father arguing with the tenant, who threatened to kill him.
‘During the argument, Apeh collapsed and was rushed to the NNPC Hospital, Mosimi, but was later declared as a brought in dead patient by the doctors at the hospital..
The suspect fled the scene, but efforts are underway to apprehend him’ Odutola said while adding that the body of the deceased landlord has been deposited at Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH) Morgue, Sagamu-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
