ABS Announces Death Of Mother, Florence Saraki… She Was A Remarkable Matriarch -Kwara PDP

Former Senate President , Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has announced  the death of his mother, Chief Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki.

 Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, a one-time governor of Kwara state, who announced the death of the matriarch of the Saraki family via a social media post on Tuesday, noted that funeral arrangements will be  made public  in due course.

‘With profound sadness and total submission to the will of Almighty God, I announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and matriarch, Chief Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki, who peacefully transitioned today, Tuesday, June 18th, 2024.

Details regarding funeral arrangements will be shared in due course. We appreciate your love, prayers, and support as we mourn Mama’s passing’ he submitted.

Chief Mrs. Florence Morenike’s husband, late Dr Abubakar Olusola Saraki, a medical doctor and  a notable Nigerian political figure, died on November 14, 2012, at the age of 79..

Among her children are Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki, a former governor of Kwara state and President of the 8th senate and Gbemisola Saraki, a former member of the House of Representatives ,who later represented Kwara Central in the senate between 2003 and 2011, and also served as minister during the Muhammadu Buhari administration.

 Kwara state PDP has expressed sadness over the passing of Chief Mrs. Florence Morenike Saraki, describing her as a strong pillar of support, not only for Dr. Saraki and her other children but also for those beyond her immediate family.

The state Chairman of the party, Hon Babatunde Mohammed in a statement he issued in Ilorin and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Chief Mrs. Saraki, calling her a remarkable matriarch whose life was marked by profound impact and unwavering dedication to her family and Kwara state.

‘She was a mother in the truest sense of the word, providing steadfast support for her children and standing as a formidable pillar within the Saraki dynasty.

Our party urges the former Senate President to find strength in the fact that Mama lived an impactful life and to an advanced age, knowing full well that she raised her children to global heights such that the whole world is benefiting from her great motherhood. This alone will continue to inspire generations.

While we grieve her departure, we take solace in the rich legacy she leaves behind—a testament to a life well-lived in service, compassion, and resilience. Her contribution to the lives of those around her and her enduring influence within the Saraki family will continue to inspire us all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our leader, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki (CON), the entire Saraki family, and all those touched by Mama’s lasting legacy during this difficult time.
