Man Who Climbed Radio Mast In Abuja To Threaten Suicide Taken Into Custody
Shuaibu Yushau, who made news on Monday after climbing a radio mast in Abuja to threaten suicide, has been taken into custody.
Yushau had climbed the mast owned by Aso Television and Radio in Katampe area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja on Monday and he had threatened suicide.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Yushau had complained about economic hardship and insecurity in the country.
Spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh submitted in a statement that Yushau has disclosed that he had observed the mast for about a week before deciding to climb it.
‘Following a distress call from concerned citizens about a young man who climbed a very high mast with a placard at ASO Radio in Katampe at about 09:10 a.m, cops at the FCT Police Command swiftly mobilized to the location.
With much professional persuasion from them, the man later identified as Shuaibu Alhaji Yushau was prevented from taking his own life.
He claimed to have been observing the mast for about a week before deciding to climb it.
