Fidau Prayer: Osun APC Chairman Thanks Ooni, Oyetola , Others For Their Support

Osun state APC Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal ,has expressed appreciation to families, friends and associates for attending the fidau prayer held for his mother, Alhaja Sinatu Awero Lawal in Ile –Ife, a few days ago.

In a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Tuesday, Sooko Lawal specially thanked the Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi and the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola  for their support.

‘I am using this forum, on behalf of my family, siblings and relations, to express my profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for making the fidau prayer held for our mother, Alhaja Sinatu Awero Lawal, a huge success devoid of hitches.

My gratitude also goes to all those who invested their time, money and prayers to make the event a grand success which has become a source of a positive reference in our community.

I am particularly appreciative of the royal intervention of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Babatunde Akande Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, the Ooni of Ife, who  I am making a point of contact to the other eminent traditional rulers, chiefs, Iyalodes, Iyalojas from within and other towns in Nigeria and beyond the shores of this nation, who graced the epoch-making occasion.

My appreciation would be incomplete without the mention and acknowledgment of the presence and contribution of the leader of our party , the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun state, the immediate past governor  of the state, Adegboyega Oyetola,  now Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, towards the successful ‘final’ burial ceremony,  who I am making a point of contact to all the leaders of our party in the state.

The positive contributions of the leaders and members of the Ife Muslim community and their counterparts in Christianity and traditional religions would not go unnoticed which was an attestation to the level of religion tolerance and the existing entrenched unconditional love that is deeply rooted in our community.

It is not a gainsaying for me to recognize the fact that I was dazzled beyond imagination by the presence and support of all the members, stakeholders and supporters of our party who turned out in their thousands to give my mother last respects.

Of particular importance and recognition are some of the chieftains of our party outside Osun state, particularly, my colleagues who are APC chairmen in their various states and who identified with me during the fidau prayer held for my mother.

The involvement of the state executive officers of our party towards the success story of the event cannot escape my memory without giving it a deserving acknowledgment as they were all on ground before and during the event to make a huge success out of it.

It is worthwhile for me to take responsibility for any omission of any group of people or individuals whose identities have not been unwittingly captured here and to explain that any of such that is observed was not deliberate.
