In Pictures: VP Shettima Performs Umrah In Mecca… Prays For Continued Peace, Stability In Nigeria
Vice President Kashim Shettima is currently performing Umrah (lesser Hajj) in the holy cities of Mecca and Medinah and he has used the opportunity to pray for Nigeria.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Shettima’s spokesman, Stanley Nkwocha disclosed this in a statement on X.com, on Thursday.
Stanley said the Vice President has also prayed for continued peace and stability in the country.
‘Speaking on Wednesday at the holy site in Makkah, VP Shettima beseeched God’s guidance and intervention for the nation’s leadership and citizenry.
Our prayer is for peace to prevail in our land. May Allah grant our land peace and social harmony.
He also sought divine attributes for Nigeria’s leaders praying that ‘May Allah grant our leaders, from the President down to our local councilors wisdom , patience and the generosity of Muhammad Rasulullah in all their dealings’ Stanley submitted while adding that the scheduled bilateral meeting between Shettima and the President of the Islamic Development Bank in Jeddah would be held at a later date since the Vice President is expected to return to Nigeria tomorrow (Friday).
‘Let there be peace, tranquility and prosperity in our nation. This is our prayer and Insha Allah, our prayers will be answered by Allah’ the Vice President was quoted as saying.
