2027 Guber Election: Igbo People Living In Kebbi Declare Support For Kauran Gwandu
The Igbo people living in Kebbi State have declared total support for the Governor Nasir Idris administration noting that they want the governor to continue beyond 2027.
They expressed satisfaction with the peaceful coexistence between the Igbo people and the people of their respective communities in the ‘Land of Equity’ under the Kauran Gwandu administration, citing the appointment of Chief Osita Mgbeafuluba as the governor’s Special Adviser.
They also noted that this is a testament to the administration’s inclusivity.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted that Eze Igbo of Gwandu Emirate, Eze (Ozo) Emeka Emeson Okafor declared the support of Igbo people for the governor while giving his speech during the distribution of 300 bags of 25kg rice donated by the governor to the Igbo community in Birnin Kebbi on Sunday.
Eze (Ozo) Emeka Emeson Okafor, commended Governor Idris for his generosity and commitment to all the tribes in the state.
‘Kauran Gwandu has provided food for our people, and we are deeply grateful. His kindness is well known, and we will continue to support his administration’ he said.
Eze Okafor also praised the governor’s achievements in infrastructure and human capital development, pledging unwavering support from the Igbo community for his future political aspirations.
He urged the governor to issue an Executive Order for the refurbishment of the Igbo Meeting Hall in Birnin Kebbi, which is currently in a state of disrepair.
Also speaking, Chief Osita Mgbeafuluba reaffirmed the Igbo people’s commitment to Kebbi’s development under Governor Idris.
‘Comrade Nasir Idris is the first Nigerian governor to show such a generosity to the Igbo community. He is our father, and we are proud of him. We stand with him 100% for 2027’ he declared.
The Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Yakubu Ahmad Birnin Kebbi, described the Igbo people as enterprising and progressive, emphasizing the governor’s dedication to unity and development.
He lauded Governor Idris’ transformation of Birnin Kebbi into a modern city and his unwavering support for economic growth.
Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Nura Bala Fingila, commended the Igbo community for fostering unity and assured that the renovation of the Igbo Meeting Hall would be carried out in due course.
Highlights of the event include distribution of rice to the beneficiaries by the commissioners and the governor’s media aide, Mr Yahaya Sarki.
Widows were among the beneficiaries.
