Gov Adeleke Condemns Violence In Ido Ayegunle, Vows To ‘Punish’ Perpetrators, Sponsors
Governor Ademola Adeleke on Monday ordered the immediate arrest and prosecution of perpetrators of the deadly attacks on Ido Ayegunle community no matter their status in society.
Reacting to the attacks which claimed lives and had properties destroyed in the town, the governor in a statement issued in Osogbo and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his Spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed expressed shock at the daring attacks, commending the security agencies for nabbing and detaining some of the attackers while calling for the arrest of their sponsors.
In the statement in question, the governor denied any breach of due process in the appointment of new Olojudo as an elevated part two Oba since 2014, while commending the security agencies for promptly putting down the unrest.
He has also vowed to ensure that perpetrators are made to face the full wrath of the law.
The governor further directed the Commissioner of Police to spread the net of investigation to remote sponsors of the attacks while commiserating with victims of the attacks amongst local residents and security agents.
‘I call on residents to remain calm. The security agencies are already rounding up the perpetrators of the violence.
