Mega Rally: Thousands Of Kebbi Residents Declare Support For President Tinubu, Gov Idris In Birnin Kebbi

A mammoth crowd converged on the Haliru Abdu Stadium Birnin Kebbi, for a mega rally in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu on Wednesday.

It was a beautiful spectacle as the stadium was filled to capacity by thousands of APC supporters and people from across the 21 LGAs in the state.

The epochal event was held to appreciate the Kauran Gwandu’s giant strides in all the sectors of economy of the state.

A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted that the theme of the Mega Rally was ‘We Stand with Tinubu, We Stand with Kaura’.

The event was also organized  to thank Dr. Idris for the myriad of developmental projects    successfully executed and for uniting the people of the state under the APC. 

Speaking at the event, Dr. Idris, who was visibly elated,  submitted that it serves as a call to duty and more service delivery to the people of the state.

According to him, the numerous developmental projects executed by his administration in less than two years were hugely facilitated by the tremendous invaluable support from President Tinubu.

Dr. Idris further said  the people of the state have shown that the rally signified  vote of confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his administration.

The Kauran Gwandu challenged agitators and diaspora politicians to come back home and contribute to the rapid development of the state.

Dr Idris also noted that Kebbi State and the Federal Governments are working together to take the state to greater heights.

According to him, the massive developmental strides of his administration will be unveiled to the world on the 29th of May, this year.

He, therefore, affirmed that the people of the state are 100 per cent behind Tinubu ahead of 2027  general election and beyond, stating that the President has ensured an all-country round development.

Dr. Idris added that both his administration and that of Tinubu have brought tremendous development to Kebbi State which is the essence of democracy.

‘Therefore, there is no alternative to APC in Kebbi State and Nigeria in general. It is the party to beat always’ he said.

The governor added that all his projects and those of Tinubu are the products of mutually beneficial synergy between Kebbi State and the Federal Government.

‘This trajectory of development will be sustained by myself and Tinubu until Kebbi State reaches the desired level of development.

We will collectively continue to prioritize all the sectors of the economy, ensuring piety, diligence, patriotism and accountability’ he said.

Dr. Idris promised to sustain the tempo of support to all the strata of people of the state, with a view to further alleviating the suffering of the citizens in line with his campaign promises.

He disclosed that the state government has purchased over 300 truckloads of assorted food items to be distributed free to the people of the state during the forthcoming Ramadan fast.

He commended the organizers of the event, people and workers in the state for the massive show of solidarity  and support for  him and Tinubu. 

Also speaking, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning,  Alhaji Abubakar Atiku Bagudu acknowledged the massive show of support  for the governor and Tinubu.

Bagudu stated that the event has shown the formidable strength of APC in the state and the love for the Kauran Gwandu and Tinubu.

He noted that it was not surprising that the governor has lived up to the expectations of the people of the state.

In his remarks, the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Muhammad Usman Zuru pledged sustained support of the lawmakers for the governor so that he can  continue with his excellent development agenda for the state.

He also extolled the governor’s unwavering commitment to the development of Kebbi State.

The State APC Women Leader, Hajiya Aisha Garba said  the event was to showcase the giant strides of  Kauran Gwandu and Tinubu to the outside world.

She added that this was sequel to the myriad of developmental projects executed by the duo in the state 

She added, ‘We are solidly behind them and APC. No shaking, no retreat , no surrender’

The state APC Chairman, Alhaji Abubakar Kana Zuru, who was also visibly happy, said that they are proud of the governor and the president.

Kana commended the people of the state for their unshaken faith and love for the APC, Kauran Gwandu and Tinubu.

While pledging unalloyed support and loyalty, he promised that APC would maintain its leadership and strength in the state.

Hon. Bello Ka’oje, who represents   Suru/Bagudo Constituency in the  House of Representatives,  also dismissed insinuations that President Tinubu is anti-North.

The Legislator appreciated the performance of  Governor Nasir Idris in human capacity development, infrastructure and improving the socioeconomic wellbeing of his people.

Hon. Ka’oje also enumerated the good works of the president in all sectors beneficial to the people of the North, on roads construction, economic empowerment and agricultural production.

Also speaking, the Chairman of PWA and an APC bigwig, Alhaji Farouk Musa Yaro Enabo, hailed Tinubu for facilitating the development strides of the Kauran Gwandu.

He noted that the people of the state are grateful to Tinubu for appointing two ministers and an array of other officials from Kebbi State.

He said, ‘There is no any other party in the state apart from APC and this will remain so.

All parties in the state are dead and they will continue to be dead forever’.

The 2023 Deputy Gubernatorial candidate of the PDP, Alhaji Samaila Salihu Bui, who defected to the APC at the historic rally, attributing his decision to the giant strides of the governor.

He pledged to be a loyal member who would do everything humanly possible to take APC to greater heights.

A member of the House of Representatives, Chief John Abiodun Falake, and the APC National Organizing Secretary, Alhaji Suleiman Muhammad Argungu expressed delight about the massive support for President Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris by the people of Kebbi State.

Chief John Abiodun Falake appreciated the deep support and loyalty of the people of the state, saying that  Kauran Gwandu has been flying the flag of the party meritoriously.

He disclosed that more goodies are in the pipeline for the people of Kebbi State from both the state and federal governments.

 Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, announced the donation of N450 million to the 225 wards in the state while Hon. Abiodun Falake donated N10 million to the state APC.
