
The National Universities Commission (NUC) has given the Thomas Adewumi University (TAU), Oko, Kwara State, the go-ahead to establish a postgraduate school.
That was not all, TAU, a private university, will be getting off to a good start with the introduction of 27 postgraduate programmes.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that the approved programmes which cut across disciplines, include Accounting, Business Administration, Mass Communication, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Criminology and Security Studies, Economics, Biochemistry, and Microbiology.
‘In addition, the NUC also approved the B.Sc. Cyber Security programme, which is expected to commence immediately.
This development is a significant milestone for Thomas Adewumi University, which has continued to expand its academic offerings to meet the growing needs of students and society at large.
The University has been granted approval to offer the following programmes:
– PGD, Masters, M.Sc, and Ph.D. in Accounting
– PGD, MBA, M.Sc, and Ph.D. in Business Administration
– PGD, Masters, M.Sc, and Ph.D. in Mass Communication
– PGD, M.Sc, and Ph.D. in Computer Science
– Masters, M.Sc, and Ph.D. in Software Engineering
– M.Sc and Ph.D. in Criminology and Security Studies
– PGD, M.Sc, and Ph.D. in Economics
– M.Sc and Ph.D. in Biochemistry
– M.Sc and Ph.D. in Microbiology
– B.Sc in Cyber Security
