Kebbi Govt Partners First Bank On Industrialization, Economic Devt

Kebbi State Government is partnering with First Bank of Nigeria Plc to drive industrialization and enhance economic growth across key sectors, aligning with the Nasir Idris administration’s vision for human and infrastructural development.
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by Governor Nasir Idris’ Special Adviser on Media , Mr Yahaya Sarki noted that this was made known during a courtesy visit to the Government House, Birnin Kebbi by the Managing Director of First Bank, Mr. Olusegun Alebiosu on Wednesday.

‘The Kebbi State Government is eager to collaborate with First Bank to execute critical development projects.
We welcome investors and are committed to doing everything possible to positively impact the lives of our people.
My administration has made significant progress across various sectors. A drive through the state capital, Birnin Kebbi, will reveal the transformation taking place’ he said.
Governor Idris also commended First Bank’s role in the establishment of the WACOT Rice Mill in Argungu, describing it as a major investment in the state.
‘We plan to consolidate and expand our economic agenda to achieve sustained growth and prosperity’ he affirmed.
In his remarks, Mr. Alebiosu said he was in Birni Kebbi to finalize partnership discussions with the state government.
‘First Bank was instrumental in the establishment of the first and second phases of the WACOT Rice Mill in Argungu.
With over 200 branches nationwide, we understand that development thrives on partnership’ he said.
He emphasized the pivotal role of government in driving development, citing its control over approvals, infrastructure provision, and employment.
‘We are ready to embark on joint ventures with Kebbi State. The peaceful environment and Governor Idris’ integrity and vision make the state an attractive destination for investment’ he added.
While talking to journalists, Mr. Alebiosu also disclosed that the bank’s foreign partners would be visiting Kebbi for discussions on mining, noting that the state has rich deposits of solid minerals.
He also highlighted other potential areas of collaboration, including the establishment of a textile industry, road infrastructure, water supply, and solar power projects to support industrialization and economic development.
