Rep Bamidele Salam Laments Obj, Jonathan’s Non-participation In PDP Affairs, Says They Would’ve Played ‘Stabilizing Role’
Rep Bamidele Salam, who represents Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore federal constituency, Osun State in the House of Representatives, on Sunday lamented the non-involvement of former presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan in the affairs of the PDP noting that at a time like this, the two former presidents would have played a significant ‘stabilizing role’ and ‘protect’ the party from being incapacitated by the ‘power drunkards’.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the PDP lawmaker, who is the Chairman, Committee on Public Accounts, said this in a Facebook post on Sunday apparently in reaction to the seeming intractable intraparty conflict in the leading opposition party.
Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, who was a member of PDP, served as president of the country between 1999 and 2007, ditto Dr Goodluck Jonathan, who was the nation’s president from 2010 to 2015.
‘In other democracies around the world, former Presidents remain active members of their political parties, serving both as the conscience and the pillar of the parties.
In Nigeria, immediately Presidents finish their tenure, they tear their party membership cards and choose the nebulous role of ‘nonpartisan’ fathers of the Nation.
So when wine and power drunkards attempt to seize the party and lord it over everyone, there is no one big enough to stand up to their shenanigans.
Imagine having an Olusegun Obasanjo and Goodluck Jonathan still actively involved in the PDP’ Rep Salam wrote-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
