NACLFON Calls For Establishment Of Kingdom Guard Network To Enhance Security In Churches
The National APC Christian Leaders Forum of Nigeria (NACLFON) has urged the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) to convene a high-level security summit to discuss the establishment of a security organization, the Kingdom Guard Network (KGN) which will complement the efforts of the security agencies in maintaining internal security in the country.
NACLFON condemned the recent attack on worshippers at CAC, Oke-Isegun, Eruku, Kwara State, describing it as utterly reprehensible and an incident that continues to test the resilience and spiritual fortitude of the ecclesiastic community.
NACLFON in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr Olalere Fagbola noted that CAN, in collaboration with the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), should champion the initiative in question.
The proposed KGN, the statement added, will comprise retired Generals and eminent security professionals within the Christian fold, who would undergo standardized training protocols aligned with global best practices in faith-based security management.
The retired military officers would assist the KGN in acquiring certifications from relevant government agencies and getting vibrant youths recruited and trained.
The Kingdom Guard Network will function in complementary symphony with the Nigerian military and statutory security agencies, ensuring a harmonized and lawful engagement framework while its primary objective will be enhancing internal security and safeguarding vulnerable worship spaces nationwide.
‘NACLFON’s suggestion was sequel to the worsening security situation in the country which has made churches vulnerable to attacks. The forum believes that this initiative will provide a positive response and solution to the security challenges facing the nation.
NACLFON has pledged to be available to discuss with the Christian Association of Nigeria on how the KGN project should be funded’ the statement added.
In the meanwhile, NACLFON on Saturday inaugurated its chapters in the 36 states and Abuja with the National Coordinator, Professor Peter Abraham describing this as ‘an administrative feat achievable only through the indefatigable dedication of our leaders, members, and strategic partners’.

‘We lift our voices in thanksgiving to God for the institutional affirmation bestowed upon NACLFON by our great party, the APC, as evidenced in the formal recognition letter now in our custody. This is not a mere document; it is a scholarly attestation of our collective labour, intellectual rigor, and unassailable commitment to nation-building.
I am delighted to further announce that our deliberate expansion strategy has yielded scholarly outcomes across the federation. Our footprint is now boldly imprinted in all 36 states and the FCT—an administrative feat achievable only through the indefatigable dedication of our leaders, members, and strategic partners.
As we savour this moment of institutional ascendancy, let us not lose sight of our cardinal mandate: to serve humanity with integrity, to champion unity as a national creed, and to catalyze sustainable development across Nigeria’s sociopolitical corridors.
Let us continue to operate as a symphony of excellence—supporting one another, sharpening one another, and driving transformational impact within our communities.
To our leaders, members, and partners: your unwavering support remains the intellectual capital and spiritual momentum behind our progress’ he added.
Professor Peter Abraham also noted that NACLFON’s purpose-driven politics is a clear departure from populist strategies that befuddled past republics.
‘Our approach is rooted in purpose-driven politics, as reflected in NACLFON’s vision. Unlike past instances where National Thanksgiving/Prayer Days were used as a ploy for political gain, our initiative is part of a broader effort to add value to the well-being of Nigerians. We’re committed to harnessing the renewal role of religion to support the APC’s Renewed Hope Agenda (Habakkuk 2:2)’ he said.
The National Coordinator noted that NACLFON has continued to show commitment to supporting candidates who promote Christian values while noting that this is not about exclusivity or promotion of a particular religion adding that ‘rather, it’s about promoting universal values that benefit all Nigerians. We believe that Christian values, such as integrity, compassion, and justice, are essential for good governance and leadership’.
He urged all Nigerians, irrespective of their religious beliefs, to join the association in promoting value-driven politics.
‘Let us support candidates who demonstrate a commitment to these values and who prioritize the well-being of all citizens. Together, we can build a better Nigeria, guided by principles that promote justice, equity, and compassion.
Let us work together to create a society that values integrity, accountability, and transparency. Let us support leaders who put the needs of the people above personal interests. Together, we can build a brighter future for Nigeria, where all citizens can thrive and reach their full potential’ he said.
The inauguration ceremony of the Osun State chapter was held at the state APC secretariat, Osogbo with Venerable Superior Dr Victor Ashaolu emerging as the state coordinator.
Giving his speech, the state APC Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, who was represented by Hon Femi Kujembola, commended NACLFON members for their commitment and urged them not to relent in their efforts to assist the party members and leaders in working towards securing electoral victory for APC in the upcoming gubernatorial election.
An APC big wig, Chief Shuaib Afolabi Oyedokun described the emergence of NACLFON as timely noting that the association has come into being when ‘Nigeria is being stigmatized unjustly’.
Chief Oyedokun who attested to the sacrificing spirit with which NACLFON members in Osun State have been handling their affairs, noted that the association is a direct answer to APC’s prayers for a right ‘partner in progress’.
He also urged NACLFON to increase its support for the renewed Hope agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Southwest Zonal Coordinator, Professor Adeniji Adebayo administered the oath of office to the State Chairman of NACLFON, Ven. Superior Dr Victor Ashaolu while commending him for leading the winning team and urging members not to relent in their collective mandate to mobilize Christians for APC-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
