Kwara: Ajani Joshua Wins Edu/ Moro/ Patigi APC Reps Nomination As AAJSM Urges Support For Him
Ahead of the 2027 General Election, former Bursar of Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa, Dr
Ajani Abiola Joshua has won the Edu/Moro/Patigi APC House of Representatives nomination.
Dr Joshua, who emerged victorious in the House of Representatives primary election held in the federal constituency on Saturday, got a total of 20, 394 votes to defeat his rivals ; Mohammed Baba Ibrahim and Abubakar Taoheed Bello , who got 11,189 and14,397 votes respectively in the keenly contested APC reps primary.
Official results sheets seen by our reporter showed that Joshua had 1,294 votes in Patigi local government area, while Ibrahim got 9,586 votes, and Bello had 1,373 votes.
In Moro local government area, Joshua got 18,873 votes, Ibrahim had 52 votes, while Bello got zero vote.
In Edu local government area, Joshua had 227 votes, Bello got13,024 votes, while Ibrahim had 1,551 votes.
There has been an outpouring of congratulations for Dr Ajani with the AAJ Support Movement (AAJSM) leading the ‘chorus of congratulations’.
AAJSM congratulated Dr Joshua on winning the primary election while also urging support for him.
The group in a statement issued by Issa Bolanle AbdulKadir Gbodi, expressed delight that Joshua’s dedication, honesty, leadership qualities, and commitment to the progress of his constituents have remained a source of hope to many.
Gbodi said : ‘Dr Ajani Abiola Joshua is a leader who understands the needs of the people and has consistently shown love, compassion, and readiness to serve humanity. His vision for growth, empowerment, development, and unity is what our society truly needs at this important moment.
