Kwara South APC Senate Primary: Nurudeen Adeyemi Calls Election Results In Circulation ‘Fake’, Urges Respect For Nomination Rules, Guidelines
Engineer Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun submitted on Friday that the outcome of the Kwara South APC senate primary held last week is not yet known as it has not been officially announced by the party.
The Kwara South APC senate aspirant also asserted that he was the only aspirant who consistently finished among the top two contenders in the majority of the local governments in the senatorial district,
In a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Friday by his campaign organization, the aerospace engineer noted that the election results in circulation is not only fake but also lacks authenticity.
‘The attention of the campaign organization of Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun (ENACT) has been drawn to a series of misleading publications, fictitious figures, and self-declared victory claims being circulated across some online platforms regarding the outcome of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Kwara South Senate Primary.
We wish to clearly state that no aspirant has been officially declared winner by the National Secretariat of our great party, the APC.
As loyal party members and committed progressives, we strongly believe in party supremacy, due process, and the established procedures guiding the collation and official announcement of election results. The directive from the APC National Headquarters clearly states that results are to pass through ward collation, LGA collation, designated constituency collation centres, before final submission and official declaration by the National Secretariat in Abuja. No individual or group has the authority to prematurely announce results or engage in media briefings declaring winners outside the approved party structure.
We therefore urge party faithful and the general public to disregard all concocted figures, speculative publications, and unauthorized declarations currently making the rounds.
From credible field reports and collated data available to our team across the seven local governments in Kwara South Senatorial District, Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun remains the only aspirant who consistently finished among the top two contenders in the majority of the local governments.
More importantly, Engr. Adeyemi has continued to demonstrate unmatched acceptability across the entire Kwara South Senatorial District, enjoying broad support that cuts across the three major ethnic and political blocs within the district. This widespread grassroots acceptance further confirms that his senate bid is not built around sectional interests, but around unity, inclusiveness, development, and collective progress.
Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun remains ‘an aspirant for all’ — a bridge-builder whose message continues to resonate with youths, women, elders, party stakeholders, and grassroots members across Ekiti, Oke-Ero, Offa, Ifelodun, Irepodun, Isin, and Oyun local governments’ the statement said.
Engineer Adeyemi commended the resilience, maturity, and commitment of APC members across Kwara South throughout the primary process and urged everyone to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding while awaiting the official declaration from the APC National Secretariat.
