Kebbi Lawmakers Elect Salihu Dangoje As New Speaker
Hon Salihu Maikasuwa-Dangoje, a member of Kebbi State House of Assembly, who represents Sakaba Constituency, has emerged as new head of the parliament.
He replaces Rt.Hon Muhammad Usman Zuru, who died at a hospital in Egypt in April this year.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Hon Salihu Maikasuwa-Dangoje was elected as new Speaker by the state lawmakers on Wednesday.
The Clerk of the House, Sulaiman Shamaki, who presided over the plenary session held in Birnin Kebbi, said Dangoje’s emergence as new Speaker was in line with Section 92(1) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended), which provides that a House of Assembly shall elect a Speaker from among its members.
Hon Adamu Birnin-Yauri moved a motion nominating Maikasuwa-Dangoje for Speaker, while Hon Lawal Haruna seconded it..
While nominating Dangoje, Hon Birnin-Yauri noted that he has served in the House of Assembly for 11 years and held various leadership positions, making him well qualified for the job.
