Gov Abdulrazaq, Ladi Hassan Mourn Passing Of Former Rep Kola Yusuf

Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara State has mourned the passing of a prominent politician in the state, Alhaji Kolawole Yusuf.

He has also sent his deepest sympathies to the people of Oke Ode, Ifelodun local government.

Alhaji Kolawole Yusuf, who died after a short illness, was until his death on Sunday, the Asiwaju of Oke Ode.

He represented Ifelodun/Offa/Oyun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives between 2007 and 2011. 

‘Governor AbdulRazaq says Alhaji Kolawole Yusuf was a true statesman, a community leader, and an outstanding humanist who enjoyed widespread goodwill in Ifelodun local government and beyond. 

This was not a coincidence as he knew where to draw the line between politics, development, and community interest. We will always appreciate his nonpartisan posture in the heat of the security challenges in Ifelodun and his support for government’s efforts in that regard.

We beseech Allaah to ease his account, admit him to al-jannah Firdaus, and give the family the fortitude to bear this huge loss’, the governor submitted in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by Mr Mashood AbdulRafiu Agboola, who is the Deputy Chief Press Secretary, Government House.

Former Chief of Staff, Government House, Ilorin, Alhaji Ladi Hassan has also mourned the passing of the former federal lawmaker calling him a ‘voice for community, region, and the country’.

‘It is with deep sorrow that we mourn the passing of Alhaji Kola Yusuf , a former commissioner and a one-time member of the House of Representatives. 

A man who dedicated his life to public service. He worked tirelessly for key causes; peace, education, infrastructure, and justice.

 He was known for 2-3 qualities: integrity, compassion, courage, vision and for putting the people first, even in difficult times.

Beyond politics, Alh . Kola Yusuf, the Asiwaju of Oke Ode was a father figure, mentor and friend to many, and a voice for community, region, country . 

His legacy will live on in the policies built, the lives touched, and the example he set for future leaders.

I extend my heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and to all citizens who are mourning his passing. May his soul rest in peace, and may his work continue to inspire us.
