Arewa Discussion Group Condoles Rotimi Amaechi Over Mother’s Death
The Arewa Discussion Group (ADG) has extended its heartfelt condolences to former Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi over the passing of his beloved mother, Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi.
ADG in a statement issued in Abuja by its spokesman, Dr. Garba Abari on behalf of the chairman, Alhaji Muhammad Bello Maisudan (Tafidan Dutse) on Tuesday and made available to Team@orietactualmags.com, described the late matriarch as a woman of extraordinary virtue whose life was a beacon of love and humility.
‘We received the news of her peaceful transition on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the age of 89, with profound sadness.
Dame Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi was a matriarch whose life was defined by love, humility, and an unwavering commitment to family values. Her legacy of service and devotion is clearly reflected in the distinguished career of her son, and we take solace in knowing that she lived a full and impactful life’ the statement said.
ADG also noted that the late Dame Amaechi’s departure is a monumental loss not only to the Amaechi family but to the entire nation, given her invaluable contributions to nurturing a leader of national repute.
‘In this moment of grief, we pray that Almighty God grants the entire Amaechi family, friends, and associates the strength, courage, and fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss’ the statement added.
