Nurudeen Adeyemi Calls Establishment Of Army Battalion In Omu-Aran ‘Significant Milestone’, Commends President Tinubu, Gov AbdulRazaq
Engr. Nurudeen Adeyemi Balogun has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the establishment of a new Nigerian Army battalion in Kwara State, describing this as a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to safeguard lives and property across the state.
The new military formation, which will be located in Omu Aran, Irepodun Local Government Area, is expected to strengthen security operations, improve rapid response capabilities, and enhance the fight against banditry, kidnapping, terrorism, and other criminal activities within Kwara State and adjoining communities.
Engr. Adeyemi particularly applauded the governor of Kwara State, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his unwavering commitment, strategic leadership, and sustained engagement with the Federal Government and the nation’s security architecture, which culminated in the approval of the new battalion.
He noted that the governor’s tenacity and steadfast dedication to the safety and security of Kwarans have continued to inspire confidence and demonstrate purposeful leadership.
Engr. Adeyemi also extended his appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for once again, demonstrating his administration’s commitment to strengthening national security and responding positively to the security needs of Kwara State.
He further congratulated the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, for his swift response in facilitating the establishment of the battalion, while also acknowledging the invaluable contributions of the Office of the National Security Adviser, the Nigerian Armed Forces, the Department of State Services, the Nigeria Police Force, and other security agencies working tirelessly to restore lasting peace across the state.

‘This landmark intervention reflects the strong collaboration between the Federal and State Governments in addressing emerging security challenges. It is a welcome development that will significantly enhance the protection of our communities and reinforce ongoing efforts to eliminate criminal elements from our forests and rural areas.
