Jonathan’s 2027 Presidential Bid ‘Mere Speculation’…Amaechi Has No Electoral Value In Rivers Politics-Wike
FCT minister, Barrister Nyesom Wike has described former president Goodluck Jonathan’s 2027 presidential bid as mere speculation submitting that he is not aware that the former president has thrown his hat in the ring ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
Mr Nyesom Wike also noted that the former president has not declared openly that he will be joining the 2027 presidential race .
‘I have never heard former President Jonathan saying he wants to run for president.
We are with the president and happy where we are. Nobody leaves something good for something worse. Tinubu will win, and I will support him’ he submitted.
Although, it is expected that the PDP will have its presidential candidate, however, the first thing to do is to address the unresolved intra party conflict .
‘As a party, we must present a candidate, but presenting a candidate does not automatically means victory. The PDP has gone through a crisis and needs time to rebuild.
It is the turn of the South’ he said.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the FCT minister, who said this while talking to journalists in Port Harcourt on Saturday, also said his former boss, Mr Rotimi Ameachi, who is the ADC vice presidential candidate, has no electoral value in Rivers State politics.
‘Chibuike Amaechi running as vice-presidential candidate is not a plus to Atiku. He was the governor and could not deliver for Buhari. He was a Grade A minister and still could not secure 25 per cent for Buhari in Rivers State.
He publicly said he was among those who removed Jonathan. He did not want a South-South president to complete his tenure. Given that history, it will be difficult to sell his candidacy to Rivers people’ he said.
Ameachi and Wike had at different times served as governors of Rivers State and the FCT minister had before emerging as the former Transport minister’s successor, served as his Chief of Staff.
The FCT minister commended President Bola Tinubu for providing greater opportunities for manpower development and appointments for people from the Niger Delta region while submitting that Rivers people need to prioritize the interests of the state and support policies and leaders who will advance development.
‘Any Rivers person who genuinely loves the state and wants its development cannot choose what is inferior over what is better. People should always put the interest of Rivers State first’ he said-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us? Do you want us to cover your event or programme?
