A4A Kwara Chapter Lauds President Tinubu For Reappointing Salihu Dembos As NTA DG, Commends Ribadu, Gov AbdulRazaq For Their Support
The Kwara State chapter of AREWA for Asiwaju (A4A) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving a fresh term for Mr Abdulhamid Salihu Dembos and reappointing him as Director-General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA).

In a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by the state Coordinator, Mallam Nurudeen IMAM, the group described the reappointment which takes effect from October 20, 2026, as a clear recognition of professionalism and a well-deserved reward for exceeding expectations.

‘We are particularly grateful that this kind gesture demonstrates the Tinubu administration’s sensitivity to ensuring balance and equity in recruitment to top-level federal jobs, without compromising competence’ he said.
The group noted that the reappointment of Dembos, an indigene of Adamawa State, who is a seasoned broadcaster with decades of experience, will go a long way in boosting the morale of President Tinubu’s support base in Northern Nigeria.
‘We see this as a testament to Mr. President’s commitment to rewarding excellence. It affirms that the Renewed Hope Agenda is not just a slogan but a reality that values performance and fairness’ the statement said.
While commending the president for his decision to reappoint Dembos as NTA DG,, the Kwara A4A also used the opportunity to respectfully urge him to appoint more competent Nigerians of northern extraction to key positions noting that such appointments will further strengthen the bond between the Tinubu administration and the region, and make the task of delivering on the president’s second term mandate much easier for support groups across the North.
Furthermore, the group commended the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu for his unwavering support for the president while asserting that he has represented the North creditably in the Tinubu administration.

He was also described as ‘a worthy son of the North whose contributions to national security are highly valued’.
The group also praised the governor of Kwara State, who is the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his exemplary leadership. The A4A commended Abdulrazaq’s ability to galvanize his colleagues to support the policies and programmes of the federal government, particularly in the areas of security and infrastructure development.

The statement highlighted the special position of Kwara State as a melting pot and a mini-Nigeria, where President Tinubu is widely recognized and revered as both the Asiwaju and Jagaban Borgu. The group affirmed that the A4A concept remains a popular and vibrant movement in the state, bridging divides and fostering unity.
‘We are fully aware of our unique position in Kwara. It is a state where the opposition is as much in support of President Tinubu’s re-election like members of the ruling party. To us in Kwara, President Tinubu is not just a leader; he is our own Asiwaju and Jagaban, and we remain grateful for his visionary leadership’ the group said.
A4A also commended President Tinubu for the various infrastructure development projects currently ongoing across Kwara State noting that these projects are a clear demonstration of his administration’s commitment to the welfare and progress of the people of the state, further solidifying the Jagaban’s support base in the region.
The group restated its commitment to mobilizing support for the Tinubu administration’s policies and ensuring that the people of Kwara continue to benefit from the Renewed Hope Agenda-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
