2027: Traditional Rulers Who Interfere In Politics Will Be Treated As ‘Politicians’-Gov Makinde

Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, who is also the APM  presidential candidate  has urged traditional rulers in the Pace setter  state not to interfere or get involved in politics but rather ensure that they accord all political actors equal treatment.

He warned that monarchs who interfere in politics will be treated as ‘politicians’.

‘I appeal to our Kabiyesis to steer clear of partisan politics and to embrace all political actors without bias. Any monarch who interferes in politics or political matters will be treated as a politician’ he said.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Governor Seyi  Makinde said this in Eruwa on Saturday after he and his wife, Tamunominini, were honoured with the chieftaincy titles of Aare Asoludero of Ibarapaland and Yeye-Aare Asoludero, respectively by Oba Samuel Adebayo Adegbola.,

The governor, who said his 2027 presidential bid is a serious business, added that he will hit the electioneering trail and campaign to win votes in all the parts of country.

‘My aspiration to lead Nigeria will not be confined to any particular region. I am prepared to take my message of good governance and development to Nigerians across the country.

This ambition will require me to engage extensively with the people and present my vision for a better Nigeria to citizens in different parts of the country’ he said.

The governor expressed appreciation to the Eleruwa and the people of Ibarapaland for the honour, saying it will spur him to do more for humanity and society..
