Empress Era: Not Having A Son Doesn’t Worry Me, My Daughters Are Capable Successors-Dangote

Empress Era: Not Having A Son Doesn’t Worry Me, My Daughters Are Capable Successors-Dangote

Chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji  Aliko Dangote, has disclosed that not having a son  has never been a mind-troubling issue noting that he has three daughters; Halima, Fatima and Mariya , who are capable successors.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Alhaji Aliko Dangote, who said this in an interview with ARISE News,  added that one of his daughters will eventually take over from him as head of Dangote Group..

‘I think, yes, I can see one of them. I’ve been watching all of them, so, I can definitely see one of the three that can actually lead’ he added.

His daughters, he also noted, are involved in the running of the affairs of his companies because they showed interest in doing that and not that they were persuaded to do so.

‘They are very, very interested in the business. I’m not forcing them to come and be part of this business, no. They are very interested, and they enjoy it.

One of them can be better than — I never expected to perform this much. But I’m sure they’re highly educated, so they will be more creative. So, most likely, they might be even taking the company to the next level’ he said.

The business mogul also said his three daughters are capable successors and he is not desperately looking for a son.

‘That one, I think, you know, it’s not my priority. God controls everything. And for me, really, sometimes, yeah, you can pray for God to give you a son, but that son might be the one that would tear down the name of the family.

So, sometimes when God doesn’t give you something, don’t push.

Even if I had a son, I don’t think the son would have done better than these three daughters that I have’ he said.

He also said his priority is to take Dangote Group to the next level and ensure that it outlives him rather than getting bothered about having a son or who takes over from him.

‘I want this company to be run professionally. I want to have the highest level of governance’ he submitted while citing multinational companies like Microsoft and Apple that had continued to operate and grow beyond the leadership of their founders.

‘We want to make sure that we make it very difficult for any family member to come and destroy anything.

What I want to leave as a legacy is to industrialize Africa, I cannot do it alone, but I’m 100% sure that in the next two or three years, other Africans will join’ he added-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
