2027 Kwara South Senate Election: No Cracks In Adewoye Camp, We Remain Fully United-Media Office

Ahead of the 2027 Kwara South senate election, the campaign organization of the APC candidate, Prince Lekan Adewoye has described the media report claiming that the ‘team’ is facing an internal crisis as untrue while calling this a ‘figment of the writer’s imagination’.

In a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Thursday, the campaign organization clarified and asserted that its structure remains united, organized, and entirely focused on securing victory in the upcoming senate election.

The statement firmly denied allegations that the decision to appoint Hon Abdulhakeem Adebiyi Ojo as Director General of the campaign organization had resulted in internal discontent because a prominent politician and stakeholder, Hon Kale Ayo was allegedly sidelined.

The campaign organization said Hon Kale Ayo, a pharmacist, remains a vital strategic partner whose relevance to the senate bid is undiminished while disclosing that the former Kwara State Sports commissioner was actually among the stakeholders who actively supported Kure’s appointment, dismissing rumours of friction between them.

The campaign organization also emphasized that administrative appointments within a political structure are based on strategic considerations and do not in anyway imply the rejection of other key players.

Reacting to reliance on anonymous sources in the media report in question who had claimed that supporters are getting set to withdraw their support for the ‘senate project’, the campaign organization added that the media report lacks names, evidence, or any verifiable facts.

Rejecting claims that it relies on ‘outsiders’ at the expense of Kwara South indigenes, the campaign organization restated its commitment to inclusivity, noting that the ‘senate project’ continuously involves stakeholders, professionals, community leaders, and political actors from across the Kwara South senatorial district while submitting that the writer merely constructed a narrative around a routine appointment to falsely manufacture a crisis.

‘Political campaigns are dynamic structures. The emergence of one person for a particular responsibility does not erase the contributions of others, nor does it automatically create a faction.

Those attempting to manufacture division within the Adewoye camp should therefore look elsewhere.

The campaign organization remains united and formidable, and its stakeholders remain focused on the political task before them. No amount of fabricated reports, anonymous quotations or deliberately constructed narratives will change that reality.
