President Tinubu Returns To Nigeria After Spending 30 Days In London, Paris, Says ‘I’m Healthy And Ready To Kick’
President Bola Tinubu returned to Nigeria on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, ending a 30-day working vacation in London and Paris.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the presidential jet conveying the president touched down at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport at about 6:22 p.m..
The president on arrival at the airport on Tuesday dismissed health rumours surrounding his extended absence.
‘Ready to kick, ready to walk. There’s nothing wrong’ President Tinubu told reporters at the airport adding that ‘rumour will always be emanating from politics, but the facts remain that I’m here. Healthy, sound, and ready to go’ he told reporters at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
The president is also set to join Nigerians in celebrating the nation’s independence anniversary on Thursday, October 1, 2026. While in Lagos, he will attend the national premiere of MKO, a documentary honoring the life and political legacy of the late Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre.
Ahead of his arrival, the presidency had released a statement easing public concerns and outlining his upcoming political itinerary. The presidency had noted that the president will hold a series of strategic meetings with key political leaders and associates over the coming days to map out preparations for the 2027 general election.
