Sowore Pays Congratulatory Visit To Gbenga Hashim After Court Victory
AAC Presidential candidate, Mr Omoyele Sowore has paid a congratulatory visit to Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, following the Federal High Court ruling affirming the latter as the presidential candidate of Accord Party for the 2027 presidential election.
Recall that Justice Mohammed Umar of the Federal High Court, Abuja in his ruling, dismissed the preliminary objections filed against Hashim’s suit and rejected the purported letter relied upon to communicate the cancellation of the party’s presidential primary to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The court therefore affirmed Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim as presidential candidate of Accord Party for the 2027 presidential election.
Mr Sowore, a prominent pro-democracy activist, congratulated Hashim on the judicial victory and the resolution of the dispute surrounding his emergence as Accord Party presidential candidate..
A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com noted that the visit brought together two presidential candidates with long-standing backgrounds in Nigeria’s pro-democracy movement and political activism.
Hashim had earlier expressed gratitude to the judiciary, his supporters and stakeholders in the Accord Party following the judgment, while calling on all factions within the party to reconcile, unite and use the court victory to build a stronger electoral organization ahead of 2027.
The Accord Party presidential candidate also submitted that his party is positioned to be competitive in the presidential, governorship and National Assembly elections, insisting that the 2027 contest will be determined by the economic and security challenges in the country rather than assumptions based on previous election results-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
