If Lectures Can Be Virtual, ‘Nothing Unusual’ About President Tinubu’s Limited Campaign Presence-Senator Oshiomhole

Senator Adams Oshiomhole on Friday asserted that there is nothing unusual about President Bola Tinubu’s decision to maintain a minimal presence on the campaign trail ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

He also explained that the president’s decision to perform Umrah despite previously citing the need to concentrate on his official duties and responsibilities does not mean that he is going back on his word, emphasizing that religious obligations are entirely different from political campaigns.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the former Edo State governor, who said this during an interview on Arise Television on Friday, also submitted that the president’s planned absence from certain campaign events alongside his spiritual journey to Mecca does not amount to inconsistency.

Furthermore, he argued that the APC reserves the right to structure its own campaign strategy and determine which specific rallies the president will attend.

‘So, I don’t see what the contradiction is. There is none. He didn’t say, ‘I will stop worshipping God, I will stop praying so that I can continue with governance.

A president is not like a teacher who must be in the classroom. But even now, you can be taught online.

Since you are not one of our supporters, you should be happy that the president is not going to go everywhere, and then you try to make a point out of that.

You ask questions, you interject, you interrupt. Look, I am well-travelled and I watch TV stations and I watch TV hosts. There is no contradiction.

It is our right, it’s our prerogative to decide where we go, where the president goes and where he doesn’t’ he said-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
