Kwara state PDP gubernatorial candidate, Alhaji Shuaib Yaman Abdulahi , has joined prominent Kwarans and other Nigerians to mourn the passing of Professor Mustapha Mohammed-Akanbi.
Akanbi, was until his death on Sunday, the Vice-Chancellor of Kwara state University, Malete.
While calling the late Akanbi an exemplary academic, Yaman has also offered his condolences to the Akanbi family, the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union, IEDPU, over the passing of such an illustrious son.
‘It’s so sad, shocking and devastating that we lost such an exemplary academic, Vice -Chancellor, Kwara State University, Professor Muhammad Mustapha Akanbi SAN.
I commiserate with his wife, families and friends over this unfortunate and untimely demise of an accomplished professional.
I also commiserate with the Maimartaba Ilory and Chairman, Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Alhaji (Dr.) Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union, IEDPU, over the passing of this illustrious son.
I pray Almighty Allah grants his soul and other departed souls eternal rest.
