Titi Daibu, Kwara High Court Judge, Dies In Abuja
Family members , friends and prominent people in Kwara state spoke in sepulchral tones and had mournful facial expressions as news of the passing of Justice Safiya Titi Saibu spread on Monday.
She was until her death on Monday a judge of the Kwara state High Court.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned Justice Daibu died in Abuja after a short illness.
Her mother, Alhaja Hanatu Nagode (Nee Belgore) had died in May 2019 . Justice Titi Daibu is one of the great granddaughters of the 7th Emir of Ilorin.
Justice Titi’s husband, Barrister Nuhu Lanre Daibu, is a popular politician in Kwara state, who had at different times, served as Chairman, Ilorin South local government, Chairman of Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), and Chief of Staff , Government House.
Apart from being the most influential female judge in the state, Justice Safiya Titi Daibu was also considered as one of the front-runners to succeed Justice Sulyman Durosinlorun Kawu , who was appointed as Chief Judge in 2014
She would have been the second female Chief Judge in the history of the state. Retired Justice Raliat Elelu, who left in 2012, was the first female Chief Judge in Kwara state- Team@orientactualmags.com
