Abuja Married Woman Saves Secret Lover As ‘Safiyah’ On Her Phone, Flees After ‘Sex Tragedy’

A married woman, Mrs Rukayat Muhammed, who lives in Garki Area 2, Abuja, and two others; Ibrahim Omeiza and Kefat Bitrus are being quizzed in connection with the death of a man, whose identity was not disclosed by the police.

Getting the man’s mobile phone retrieved had helped to provide clues that revealed last known location and recent conversations.

The man in question had been reported missing by his family before his lifeless body was discovered under Katampe Bridge along Kubwa Expressway, on Saturday.

‎Team@orientactualmags.com learned that head of FCT police command, Ahmed Sanusi, a Commissioner of Police, disclosed this while talking to journalists in Abuja on Saturday.

The police chief said law enforcement agents had thought it was a case of kidnapping or ‘one chance’ robbery but later discovered that the lifeless body was that of the man whose family had earlier reported missing.

‎’Beyond the media reports, however, there was a family grieving and struggling to understand what had happened to their loved one.

‎In the course of the investigation, we discovered that the deceased person’s mobile phone was missing. This became a significant lead in the investigation, and cops commenced efforts to track the device and establish its last known location and usage’ he said.

‎Although the phone had been switched off, police later traced the man’s last known communication to Mrs Rukayat Muhammed.
‎
‎The woman, he added, is the man’s secret lover and she had his phone number saved as ‘Safiyah’ on her phone.
‎
‎It was later discovered that they were at Good Samaritan Guest House , Second Avenue, Gwarimpa but Rukayah had fled after discovering that the man was no longer breathing.

She also left with the man’s mobile phone and did not report the incident to the police.

‎’Rather than immediately reporting the incident to the Police, the suspect took the deceased person’s mobile phone and left the hotel.

‎Several hours later, hotel management accessed the room after attempts to contact the occupants failed and found the man’s lifeless body.

‎ Instead of reporting the discovery to the Police, two members of the hotel management identified as Ibrahim Omeiza and Kefat Bitrus subsequently removed the body from the room and transported it to Kubwa expressway by Katampe under the bridge where they dumped it by the roadside.
