Accord Party’s Allegations ‘Untrue’, Oyetola Not Working In Connivance With INEC To Rig Upcoming Guber Election-Osun APC
Osun State APC has accused the state chapter of Accord Party of spreading falsehoods and fabricated information in order to misinform the good people of the state as they get ready for the gubernatorial election that will hold on August 15, 2026.
.Governor Ademola Adeleke, who is seeking re-election, is the gubernatorial candidate of the Accord Party while Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji is the APC gubernatorial candidate.
‘Recall that the state chairman of Accord Party, Pastor Victor Akande issued a frivolous statement a few hours ago, accusing the state APC leader, the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola of planning to rig the 15th August, 2026 governorship election in connivance with the Resident Electoral Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) in the state.
Akande went further to state among other things that: ‘Osun State chapter of the Accord has got a wind of the secret meeting held by Osun chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) where its leadership caucus resolved to direct the Osun Resident Electoral Commissioner, to effect selective removal of Accord members from the electoral register.
The secret meeting was held at the Ileri Oluwa campaign office of the party on Wednesday with the nomination of a three-man committee to liaise with Osun INEC office to effect the disenfranchisement plan.
Reports from the meeting revealed that the evil agenda is to remove a minimum of 75 accord members from each polling unit and 25 APC members to make the mutilation of the electoral register random and more like a technical glitch’ .
It is high time the Accord Party chairman, who is a pastor, freed himself from the defeatist spirit which has snowballed into paranoia engendered by the fear of the imminent loss of the governorship election of his favoured candidate who has utterly disappointed the people of the state by failing to fulfil campaign promises.
Fabrication of falsehoods against the state leader of our party who is the immediate past governor of the state by Akande, his governorship candidate and their ilk at this material time when they are expected to be campaigning vigorously in the nooks and crannies of the state, will not make their candidate earn any special electoral advantage’ Osun State APC submitted in a statement issued in Osogbo and made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by its spokesman, Chief Kola Olabisi on Friday..
The statement added that ‘it is absolute false that Alhaji Oyetola held a meeting with any of the staff of the INEC, let alone giving any instruction(s) to the Resident Electoral Commissioner, as conjectured by the state chapter of the Accord Party which is the figment of his imagination’.
Chief Kola Olabis also noted that members of the party are in upbeat mood as they get ready for the upcoming guber election while urging members of the public to ignore the allegations raised by the Accord Party chairman.
‘Our governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji AMBO, is going into the election to win as a serious candidate who, all along, has been burning, the night candle when his opponent was busy wining and dining, dancing and chasing non-existing foreign investors from all the corners of the world.
The right-thinking members of society, the ever-loyal members and supporters of our party should disregard the fabricated election-rigging story of the day-dreaming Accord Party chairman, and continue their constitutional efforts of ensuring that the incumbent Governor Adeleke is sent packing from the Oke-fia Government House via the 15th August, 2026 governorship election’ he added-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
