APC National Chairman Calls PDP ‘Main Opposition Party’, Says NDC, ADC ‘Inconsequential’

APC National Chairman Calls PDP ‘Main Opposition Party’, Says NDC, ADC ‘Inconsequential’

APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda submitted on Saturday that members of his party across the country are in upbeat mood ahead of the 2027 general election while adding that no opposition party can give the APC headache.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, who said this while talking to journalists in Abuja after monitoring the party’s governorship screening exercise, also called PDP ‘major opposition party’ while describing ADC and NDC as ‘inconsequential’.

He also asserted that APC leaders are not in any way worried or disturbed but rather well-prepared for the upcoming 2027 General Election.

Not at all. Why should we be afraid?. If you look at it now, the fight is not between APC and ADC or within our political party, but ADC versus NDC. So, we have been vindicated when people say that APC was fighting opposition. Now everybody has seen clearly that it is the opposition fighting themselves.

The major opposition we have is actually PDP. And even the PDP has not done very well in terms of electoral performance. Performance is not on TV, it is not on radio; not in newspapers, it is on the field during election’ he said.

The APC National Chairman also reacted to the decision of some members of the party to leave APC for NDC asserting that the party still has a major say in the National Assembly.

‘Who are the members? What number are you talking about? 17 legislators. We have over 400 legislators. Compared to 17, it is just a meagre number.

APC is the most prepared, most outstanding political party that right now can face anybody on earth. We have not seen a party that can give us a headache’ he added.

Commenting on the absence of Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State at the venue of the screening exercise, he said there was nothing unusual about that because Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State and Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State were also not present.

Governors, as chief executives and Chief Security Officers of their respective states, he noted, have legitimate state responsibilities that can keep them away, while adding that a special arrangement has been made for them.

‘Anytime you (governors) are free, you call the screening committee, we will give you a room, you come at your will and convenience, and we will screen you’ he said-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
