Boy, 16, Stabs 20-Year-Old Man To Death During Argument In Cross River
The police are investigating the death of a 20-year-old man, Uwem Daniel Akpan in Akamkpa Local Government, Cross River State.
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested and taken into custody by the police in the state for allegedly stabbing the deceased person to death during an argument.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that spokesman for the state police command, ASP Sunday Eitokpah confirmed the death of Uwem in a statement he issued in Calabar on Tuesday.
‘The Cross River State Police Command has commenced investigation into the death of a 20-year-old male, Uwem Daniel Akpan, who was allegedly stabbed during a misunderstanding at Peters Street, Awi, Cross River on August 31, 2026.
The incident reportedly occurred at about 7:30 pm, after which the victim was rushed to the Naval Reference Hospital, Calabar, where he was declared a Brought-in-dead patient. His family later took his body away..
A 16-year-old male suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident and he is currently in police custody. The Command is investigating the circumstances surrounding the death and the alleged involvement of the suspect’ the statement added.
The police spokesman urged members of the public to remain calm and refrain from taking the law into their own hands, assuring that the incident will be thoroughly investigated.
