Electoral Act: ADC, NNPP Leaders Demand Fresh Amendment Process
The nation’s opposition leaders, who are mainly ADC and NNPP bigwigs, on Thursday assessed the Electoral Act 2022 (Repeal and Re-enactment) Amendment Bill, 2026 that was recently signed into law and demanded a fresh amendment process.
Recall that President Bola Tinubu had last week signed the Electoral Act 2022 (Repeal and Re-enactment) Amendment Bill, 2026 into law while noting that he had followed the debate on the document at the National Assembly closely.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the opposition leaders held a press conference at Lagos/Osun Hall, Transcorp Hilton, Abuja on Thursday during which they urged the federal lawmakers to remove all objectionable provisions contained in the Act.
