Emulate Late Munirat Olesin’s Virtues, Sheikh Dan Borno Urges Parents, Clerics
The Grand Mukadam of Ilorin, Sheikh Suleiman Dan Borno has urged the children of late Alhaja Munirat Olesin to continue to exhibit the excellent moral virtues inculcated in them by their late mother.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Sheikh Suleiman Dan Borno, who said this in his short sermon during the 5th Day fidau prayer held for late Alhaja Munirat at Olesin Compound, Okelele, Ilorin, on Saturday, also described the deceased woman as a community figure and a woman of virtue who successfully raised responsible children.
The cleric urged parents and Islamic scholars entrusted with the care of children to imbibe strong moral values in them in order to build a better society. He added that the late Alhaja Munirat Olesin would always be remembered as a devout Muslim who lived an exemplary life, urging her children to sustain her legacy and always remember her in prayers.
Alhaja Munirat Olesin died on Tuesday, September 8, at the age of 87, and she is survived by children including Alhaji Abdullahi Olesin, the Regional Editor of Leadership Newspaper.
The fidau prayer was presided over by the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Mohammed Bashir Salihu Dansuki.
The event drew a large gathering of dignitaries and government officials with Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq getting represented by a high-powered delegation that include his Special Adviser and Counsellor, Alhaji Saadu Salahudeen; Special Adviser (Special Duties), Alhaji AbdulRazaq Jiddah; and Alhaji Bashir Adigun.
