Gov Abdulrazaq, Saraki, Kwara ADC Gubernatorial Candidate Congratulate Sheikh Muhammad Bashir On His Appointment As Chief Imam Of Ilorin

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State on Wednesday led a chorus of congratulations for Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani on his appointment as the new Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate while praying that God will grant him long life and good health.

‘The choice of a young and vibrant Azhari scholar as the new Chief Imam Fulani reflects the commitment of our community, which His Royal Highness symbolizes, to continue to mobilize different demographies of the Muslim ummah for greater good and development. 

I ask Allaah to guide and protect the new Chief Imam, perfect His blessings upon him, and give him long life and good health in the service to faith and the Muslim ummah. Former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has also congratulated Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki Imam Fulani on his appointment as the Chief Imam of Ilorin Emirate by the Emir of Ilorin, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari.

In a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his Press Officer on Local Matters, Mr Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, Dr Saraki, who is the Waziri of Ilorin Emirate, described the appointment as a well-deserved recognition of Sheikh Dasuki’s profound Islamic scholarship, exemplary character, dedication to the propagation of Islam, and years of selfless service to the Muslim community within and beyond the Ilorin Emirate.

Dr Saraki also commended the Emir of Ilorin for the painstaking and transparent process that culminated in the emergence of Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki, expressing confidence that the new Chief Imam possesses the knowledge, wisdom, humility, and leadership qualities required to advance the spiritual growth and unity of the Muslim Ummah.

The Waziri Ngeri of Ilorin Emirate also noted that the new Chief Imam comes from a distinguished lineage of renowned Islamic scholars and spiritual leaders, a heritage that has continued to contribute immensely to the development of Islamic education and religious guidance in the Emirate.

He prayed that Almighty Allah will grant Sheikh Muhammad Bashir Dasuki abundant wisdom, sound health, strength, and divine guidance in the discharge of his responsibilities, and make his tenure beneficial to Islam, the Ilorin Emirate, and humanity at large.

Saraki also prayed for continued peace, unity, progress, and prosperity in the Ilorin Emirate under the Emir of Ilorin’s leadership.
