Gov Adeleke Wishes ‘Statesman With Distinction’ Bisi Akande ‘A Happy Birthday’
Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has congratulated the pioneer National chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Abdulkareem Adebisi Akande on his 87th birthday calling the octogenarian politician ‘a blessing not just to Osun State but to Nigeria as a whole’.
Chief Bisi Akande, he noted, is living on the positive side of history as one of the leaders who invested their energy, time, and resources in national development.
The governor in a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by his spokesperson , Mallam Olawale Rasheed noted with passion how Chief Akande constructed the Osun State Government Secretariat between 1999 and 2003 while serving as governor of the state.
‘Chief Bisi Akande is a seasoned politician and a statesman. He has served Nigeria with distinction in various capacities. He has his name written in gold in respect of the formation of credible opposition with the birth of the then Alliance for Democracy (AD) which later metamorphosed into Action Congress (AC), Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), and later the All Progressives Congress (APC) which is now the ruling party in the country’ he said.
While praying that God will spare the life of Baba Bisi Akande and grant him sound health, the governor also noted that the former governor is a reservoir of knowledge on Public administration, political development, and regional development.
‘As former governor of Osun State, National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Secretary to the Government of the old Oyo State, Chief Akande’s contributions to national development are immeasurable.
His leadership and vision have left lasting impacts on Osun State and Nigeria at large.
