I Allowed My Estranged Husband To Attend Our Daughter’s Wedding To End Ancestral Curse-Iyabo Ojo
Iyabo Ojo, a screen star, has disclosed reasons why she allowed her estranged husband, Ademidun Ojo to not only attend their daughter, Priscilla’s wedding in 2025 but also walked her down the aisle.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the actress, who disclosed this during her appearance on The Morayo Show on Monday, told the host, Morayo Afolabi-Brown reasons why she allowed her estranged husband to walk Priscila down the aisle.
Recall that their daughter, Priscilla Ojo married Tanzanian singer, Juma Jux in a series of elaborate wedding ceremonies held in Tanzania and Nigeria in 2025.
Iyabo Ojo and Ademidun Ojo got married in 1999 when the actress was 21 years old. The marriage produced two children:, Festus Oladunjoye Ojo, who was born on June 21, 1999, and Priscilla Ajoke Ojo, who was born on March 13, 2001.
The marriage however crashed in 2001.
‘I don’t know, there’s something called ancestral curses. And we Africans believe in it. Christians also. I believe that if you do not want something to continue, you have to be able to break it.
So, I made up my mind that whatever situation had happened, because my dad and my mum were also not together, every mistake they had made that I have made, my children will not make it.
So, I had to put aside what I felt, my differences, and play my part. That’s why I said I have paid the price for her to succeed and for her to be happy in her marriage.
Her father is not dead. He’s alive. So, why can’t he be there? He didn’t wrong her. Me and him fell out. It has nothing to do with her.
I made the choice to marry him. So, whatever is going on between me and him is between me and him.
