I Will Resign As VP If ADC Govt Fails To Improve Lives In First Year-Amaechi
Former governor of Rivers State, who also served as Minister of Transportation under late Muhammadu Buhari, Mr Rotimi Amaechi , has declared that if ADC wins the upcoming 2027 presidential election and the government fails to improve lives in its first year, he will resign from his position as Vice President.
‘This time, I will say it. If Nigeria does not begin to change one year after we’ve come into office, come to me, I will resign’ he said.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Mr Rotimi Amaechi, who is the ADC vice presidential candidate, said this while appearing on AIT’s Democracy Today programme on Wednesday, while adding that an ADC administration will prioritize security, education and economy.
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is the ADC presidential candidate.

Alleging that public funds meant for critical sectors are being diverted into private hands, the former minister also faulted the removal of petrol subsidy.
‘President Tinubu removed petrol subsidy, but what are the benefits of doing so? The subsidy money is now in private pockets, and they are celebrating’ he said.
Mr. Amaechi also expressed surprise that people are still flaunting their wealth despite the harsh economic conditions.
‘I sit and ask myself, where are these people getting this money from, given how pervasive poverty is in Nigeria?’ he said.
While reacting to social media reports that Nigerians booed President Bola Tinubu upon his arrival at the Lagos International Airport on Tuesday, the former minister also expressed worry over Nigeria’s heavy dependence on imported finished goods.
‘Who are those importing? Nigeria is in trouble. I watched people hoot at Tinubu from the Lagos International Airport all the way to his house. If we become president, nobody will do that; they will be clapping for us because we will change Nigeria’ he said-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
