Innovation Commissioner Heads Committee To Investigate School Infernos In Kebbi

 Kebbi State Government has constituted a high-powered committee to investigate recent fire incidents in schools across the state with a view to determining their causes and recommending measures to prevent future occurrences. 

A statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com by Governor Nasir Idris’ Special Adviser on Media, Mr Yahaya Sarki noted that the committee is headed by Hon. Ibrahim Muhammad Sakaba, the state Commissioner for Innovation and Digital Economy, with Professor Sulaiman Khalid, Chairman of  the state SUBEB; the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education; representatives of the Office of the Commissioner of Police, the State Director of the DSS, the State Fire Service as members while the Executive Director of the Security Management Agency will serve as Secretary.

 The terms of reference of the committee include investigating the remote and immediate causes of the infernos affecting schools across Kebbi State, assessing the extent of damage and losses recorded, recommending appropriate safety, security and preventive measures, and submitting a comprehensive report with actionable recommendations to the State Government. 

The statement added that Kebbi State Government  has also restated its commitment to the safety of students, teachers and educational infrastructure while  assuring the public that all necessary steps will be taken to forestall a recurrence of such incidents-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
