Kwara ADC Removes 2 LG Chairmen, Cites Anti-Party Activities

Kwara State ADC has announced the removal of Mallam Atanda Musa and Mr AbdulRasheed Akogun as chairmen of the party in Moro local government and Ifelodun local government respectively.

The party noted in its letters of removal, copies of which were made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Monday, that their removal was sequel to findings from a disciplinary and investigative panel showing that the party officials in question had engaged in unauthorized, secret meetings with PDP gubernatorial candidate, Engineer Bolakale Kawu.

‘Following a thorough review of your conduct and activities as the Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Moro Local Government Area, Kwara State, I am directed by the leadership of the party to formally notify you of your removal from office with immediate effect.

This decision became necessary after the findings of the three-member Disciplinary and Investigative Panel constituted by the party to examine allegations of persistent anti-party activities against you. During its investigation, the panel established that you attended and participated in meetings with the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Engr. Kale Kawu, without the knowledge, approval, or authorization of the party. Such an action constitutes a clear violation of the constitution, principles, and code of conduct of the African Democratic Congress.

Your conduct was carefully reviewed by the Council of Elders, the State Working Committee (SWC), and the State Executive Council (SEC). After extensive deliberations, the party unanimously resolved that your actions amount to gross misconduct, a breach of party discipline, and anti-party activities that are inconsistent with the values and objectives of the African Democratic Congress.

Accordingly, you are hereby removed from your position as the Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Moro Local Government Area, Kwara State, with immediate effect’ the party submitted in the letter sent to Mallam Atanda Musa.
