What was your childhood like? Can we have a glimpse into your life?
My early years were shaped by humble beginnings and strong family values. I was born into the family of the Late Chief Lawal of Oke-Aro Compound, Araromi-Oja in Ora District, but I spent most of my childhood in Aireke Ora where I lived with my maternal grandparents.
Life at that time required resilience. As a young boy, I supported my grandparents through small trading activities, including hawking kola nuts and snuff, moving around local markets to sell items and support the family. It was an experience that exposed me to the realities of life and instilled in me the values of responsibility, discipline, and perseverance.

How did you have unhindered educational pursuit despite not having it rosy?
I had my primary education at the Community Primary School, Aireke Ora and later proceeded to Comprehensive High School, Oke-Ayo (Ora District) for my junior secondary education. I later completed my senior secondary education at ECWA Secondary School, Igbaja all in Ifelodun Local Government, Kwara State.
Due to financial constraints, I relocated to Ibadan in search of better opportunities. Despite hustling to survive, I remained focused in respect of my educational pursuit.
I later attended Obafemi Awolowo University where I obtained a Diploma in Local Government Administration, and subsequently earned a Higher National Diploma in Public Administration from The Polytechnic, Ibadan.
How did you start a career in the oil and gas industry and what was the experience like?
I started from a very modest position as a filling station attendant in Ibadan and later became a supervisor. Through dedication, consistency, and hard work, I rose to become a petrol station manager and eventually a depot representative at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Depot, Apata, Ibadan.
With time and experience, I grew into a successful entrepreneur in the oil and gas, haul lagging, logistics, and hospitality sectors, establishing and managing multiple ventures under a broader investment structure. I have also served as a consultant with the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.
My journey reflects steady growth, resilience, and a strong commitment to excellence.
What were the factors that made you develop interest in politics?
Politics, to me, is about service, understanding the needs of the people, and making meaningful impact. I may not come from a traditional political background, but I was deeply influenced by my father, a respected High Chief in Araromi-Oja, Ora District, known for his selfless service and commitment to community unity and development.
That foundation shaped my values and strengthened my passion for leadership.
What informed your decision to join the 2027 Omupo House of Assembly race?
It is a decision driven by genuine desire to serve and do more for my people. Over the years, I have remained connected to people at the grassroots and I have contributed to community development in my own way.
However, there is a limit to what one can achieve without occupying a position of authority. I believe this is the right time to step forward and expand the impact—focusing on empowerment, poverty reduction, and sustainable development.
It is also important to note that this decision was strongly encouraged by friends, family, and the grassroots people—especially the youths and senior citizens across Ora District and Omupo state constituency.
Their belief in my ability made them urge me to throw my hat in the ring and it played a major role in my decision to join the assembly race.
Many people have commented on your commendable community impact. Can you tell us what you have done to improve the lives of your people?
Service has always been a core part of my life. Since 2002, I have consistently supported my people, particularly in Aireke Ora where I grew up, through food distribution and financial empowerment.
By God’s grace, my contributions include food distribution and cash empowerment initiatives, construction of classrooms and office facilities in Aireke Ora, renovation of school buildings in Araromi Ora District, renovation of the church and mosque in the town to promote unity and religious harmony, provision of boreholes to improve access to clean water, installation of solar lights across communities in Ora District and support for grassroots mobilization and party structures
Others are provision of financial assistance to APC members for NIN registration to ease things for them during the party’s e-registration exercise, provision of support during voter registration exercise to encourage civic participation, distribution of food items during festive periods, financial support and empowerment for individuals, and provision of free JAMB & WAEC forms, scholarships, and learning materials through the LOD Education For All Project
Tell us about your leadership style and vision?
I see leadership as service. My background allows me to understand the realities people face daily. My vision is to build a constituency where opportunities are accessible, youths are empowered, and we do not just promise development but actually deliver it.
This movement is about changing mindsets, encouraging self-reliance, and creating sustainable pathways for growth.
How would you assess the Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq administration?
The current administration in the state headed by His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has made remarkable and commendable progress in transforming the state. His leadership has brought renewed direction to governance, with visible improvements in infrastructure, education, healthcare, and institutional reforms.
A particularly historic achievement for us in Ora District is that his administration stands as the first to initiate and execute modern road construction project in Ora town, an asphalt road. This milestone has significantly improved accessibility, boosted local economic activities, and enhanced the daily lives of our people. It is a development that will remain a reference point in the history of our community.
Beyond this, the Abdulrazaq administration has demonstrated commitment to building a stronger and more inclusive Kwara State.
However, governance is a continuous process. There is still room for deepening rural development, expanding economic opportunities, and strengthening grassroots impact. My goal is to complement these efforts by ensuring that the benefits of governance are felt more directly at the constituency level.
If given the mandate to represent Omupo state constituency in the state House of Assembly, what key bills or policy initiatives will you prioritize in your first 100 days in office?
Within my first 100 days, my focus will be on introducing and supporting people-oriented legislations that address the most pressing needs of our constituency.
Key priorities will include youth empowerment and skills acquisition programmes backed by law, care for the aged, supportive policies for small and medium-scale businesses, improved access to quality education through targeted interventions, community-based infrastructure development initiatives, measures to strengthen transparency and accountability in constituency projects, security-focused legislation, including support for community policing initiatives, improved collaboration with security agencies, and provision of necessary support systems to enhance safety across our communities
Security is fundamental to development. Without a safe environment, meaningful progress cannot be achieved. I will work to ensure that our communities remain peaceful, secure, and have an enabling environment for growth.
Beyond sponsoring bills, I will maintain active engagement with my constituents to ensure that their voices are reflected in every legislative decision.
You held your declaration ceremony a few days ago, what has been the response from the people of your constituency?*
Thank you, the declaration ceremony was held at Ora Town Council Hall on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, and the response from the people of my constituency has been encouraging and deeply inspiring.
From the traditional leaders to the youths and women groups, the level of acceptance has been overwhelming.
What is most significant is that this movement is people-driven. It is not built on imposition but on genuine belief and trust from the people at the grassroots.
Across Ora District and the wider Omupo Constituency, there is a strong sense of readiness for a new kind of representation—one that is accessible, responsive, and truly committed to the people.
This growing support strengthens my resolve to remain focused, inclusive, and dedicated to delivering on the collective aspirations of our people.
Do you consider this as people saying ‘we believe in you’ and will it make you become more determined?
My journey reflects the story of resilience, hard work, and commitment to community development. From humble beginnings to building businesses and empowering people, I have remained dedicated to creating opportunities and improving lives.
My mission is clear, I want to serve the people with sincerity, deliver meaningful development, and ensure that no community is left behind.
Those who know me can attest to the fact that I derive joy in uplifting people through human capacity building. I feel happy and fulfilled at my moment of service to humanity.
The response from my people actually made me feel encouraged, the outpouring of support has acted as a catalyst for my political aspirations, I have become more motivated-Team@orientactualmags.com Do you have any information you wish to share with us?
