Oriire LG School Abductions: We Prayed, Fasted ‘And Our God Arose Like He Promised’-RCCG

Teachers and students at Community Grammar School, Baptist Nursery and Primary School, and L.A. Primary School who had been in captivity since May 15, 2026, and finally regained their freedom on Friday, were released because Nigerians including members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) fasted and prayed for divine intervention, the church has submitted.

The aforementioned schools are located in Esiele and Yawota communities, Oriire Local Government, Oyo State,

Team@oriientactualmags.com learned that RCCG in an X.com post not only commended the security agencies for ensuring that the victims regained their freedom but also asserted that getting them rescued had simply fulfilled God’s promise after weeks of prayers and fasting.

‘And our God arose like He promised! Let somebody shout Hallelujah!! Glory be to our God for answering our prayers and fulfilling His word.

We appreciate the efforts of all the security agencies in securing the release of our school children and their teachers from captivity. Congratulations to each of them and their families. Our God answers prayers. Hallelujah!!!’ the church said.

RCCG also posted a video of their General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye which was taken during the US-Nigeria Faith Heroes Award Gala organised by the Save Nigeria Group in Washington, D.C., on June 23.

In the video in question, Pastor Adeboye noted that after one of the teachers was killed by the kidnappers, the church had begun to pray and fast for the safe return of the remaining victims.

‘We have been fasting, we have been praying for a particular group of school children that were captured and the kidnappers felt that the government was not reacting fast enough to give them the money they asked for.

They slaughtered their teacher and showed the video to the rest of the world. And then God spoke to me, told me that as for the release of the children, it’s going to be dramatic. But He didn’t tell me the time or the details’ he said.

Recall that 39 pupils and seven teachers, including a principal, were taken away after gunmen attacked the aforementioned schools two months ago.

Sadly, one of the teachers, Joel Adesiyan, was killed while attempting to escape while Mr Michael Oyedokun was also beheaded by the kidnappers.

The surviving victims finally regained their freedom on Friday-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us? Do you want us to cover your event or programme?
