Primaries: Proof Of Payment Of Membership Dues Not Mandatory, APC NWC Tells Party Members
As the party’s primaries begin across the country on Saturday, the ruling APC has clarified that proof of payment of membership dues is not mandatory for party members who wish to participate in the nomination process.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the party made this clarification in a statement issued in Abuja by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka.
Mr Morka submitted that all the duly registered members are eligible to take part in the exercise.
‘The All Progressives Congress (APC) wishes to clarify that there is no requirement for party members to show proof of payment of APC membership dues in order to vote in the ongoing Primary Elections.
All the duly registered members of the party are entitled to participate in the exercise.
For the avoidance of doubt, the requirement to show proof of payment of APC membership dues was applicable only to aspirants and their nominators during the submission of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms as well as during the screening exercise’ he said.
