Prominent Politician Bamanga Tukur Dies At 90…Funeral Holds In Yola Today
A prominent politician in the country, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, is dead.
The late Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, who died at 90, had, at different times, served as governor of defunct Gongola State which had then consisted of the present Adamawa and Taraba states, Minister for Industries, and PDP National Chairman.
He was also an NRC presidential aspirant in 1992.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Alhaji Bamanga Tukur, who was born on September 15, 1935, died at his residence in Abuja on Saturday after a prolonged illness.
He would have turned 91 on Tuesday.
It was also gathered that the Islamic funeral prayer (Salatul Janazah) will be held for him at the Lamido of Adamawa’s Palace in Yola, Adamawa State today.
