Qatar: No Cause For Alarm, Missing Nigerian Woman Found In Hospital

A 37-year-old Nigerian woman who had gone missing after arriving at an airport in Doha, the capital of Qatar, last week is safe and sound.

Recall that the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection , Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, Michael Achimugu had disclosed that the woman in question had travelled from Lagos to Doha aboard Qatar Airways flight QR1408 on Tuesday and she reportedly lost contact with her family after communicating with her brother via WhatsApp shortly before the plane touched down at the airport..

Achimugu said on Saturday that the airline had confirmed through CCTV footage that the missing woman arrived safely in Doha, collected her luggage and exited the airport terminal before her whereabouts became unknown.

‘I have confirmed, via the airline, that CCTV shows your sister arrived safely, picked her bags, and exited the terminal.

In some cases, passengers arrive at the hotel booked, and then leave quietly. DISCOVER QATAR will check to confirm the name of her hotel, and whether your sister did, indeed, get to the hotel. The woman’s brother, Jonathan Jibo (#DigitalworldB) had also on Friday raised the alarm in an X.com post saying it had been more than 48 hours since he last had contact with his sister and expressing worry that she had travelled to Doha for the first time and had no friends there while adding that her accommodation had been arranged and paid for months before the trip.

The good news is that she had been found in a hospital in Qatar and already reunited with her family.

Team@orientactualmags.com learned that Jibo, who disclosed this in a social media post on Sunday, also expressed gratitude to those who had helped to aid the search, including the Nigerian Embassy in Doha, Qatar Airways and the Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, Michael Achimugu.

‘Good news… My sister has been found today, she was sick and was taken to the hospital from the airport.

A big thanks to each and everyone of you online. The Nigerian Embassy in Doha, to ‘The Boss’ Michael Achimugu @mikeachimugu01 and the Qatar Airways Admin, who was kind and understanding. A big thanks to everyone who liked, repost, shared, tagged and commented towards her safety.

My family and I are forever grateful’ he submitted-Team@orientactualmags.com  Do you have any information you wish to share with us? Do you want us to cover your event or programme? Kindly send SMS to 08035023079,  08059100286, 09094171980 or get in touch via orientactualmag@gmail.com.  Thank you
