11th National Assembly Will Be Most Competitive, Innovative Ever-Kwara APC Senate Candidate

Kwara South APC senate candidate, Prince Lekan Adewoye, has submitted that the upcoming 11th National Assembly will be the most competitive and innovative legislative session in Nigeria’s history.

Team@orientactualmags.com reports that Prince Lekan Adewoye, who said this at the Kwara Tabloid Leadership Development Roundtable held in GRA, Ilorin, on Tuesday, added that the incoming National Assembly will comprise new and old members who are political heavyweights and high-caliber professionals that are ready to introduce brilliant, transformative ideas and support the vision of President Bola Tinubu.

Commenting on his senate bid, Prince Lekan Adewoye asserted that he stands out as the most qualified candidate among his co-contestants emphasizing that his extensive local and international exposure remains unmatched in the race, giving him a distinct advantage to deliver quality representation while submitting that the APC is fully positioned to secure a resounding victory in the upcoming legislative polls.

Highlighting his track record of philanthropic community service, Prince Lekan Adewoye unveiled a comprehensive roadmap aimed at ensuring economic independence for the young people in the senatorial district if elected senator next year disclosing plans to establish a dedicated youth support desk.

 This initiative, he added, will provide the young people with direct access to professional training, global certifications, and business loans.

To systematically address unemployment in Kwara South Senatorial District, he also said he will suggest introduction of applied business and enterprise modules into the school curriculum while noting that he has already engaged in high-level discussions with heads of some universities.

‘We want our students to be intrinsically business-minded. These targeted programmes will equip young people to solve real-world corporate challenges and transit smoothly from job seekers into employers of labour’ he said.

He also promised to open their eyes to new opportunities.

Prince Lekan Adewoye noted that his deep familiarity with the inner workings, opportunities, and historical challenges of the National Assembly will enable him to successfully maximize resources for the growth of Kwara South while promising  to run an open-door, highly accessible office and establish a localized ‘think tank’ to sustain regular dialogue with his constituents.

Addressing the pressing security challenges facing Kwara South, Prince Lekan Adewoye commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s stance that sustainable development is impossible without the safety of lives and property.

Acknowledging that policing currently sits on the Exclusive Legislative List, he strongly endorsed the proposed establishment of State Police submitting that decentralization of law enforcement is the ultimate blueprint to allow individual states to address unique local security peculiarities effectively.

Although state policing is a critical milestone that will bring a major shift in tackling Nigeria’s security challenges by addressing the fundamental roots of insecurity, its ultimate success, he noted, relies heavily on effective collaboration among the three tiers of government; federal, state, and local.

The Senate candidate also said his legislative blueprint will place a premium on vigilance awareness alongside robust intervention support for security agencies and communities.

Reflecting on his vision for Kwara South senatorial district, Prince Lekan Adewoye submitted that he has carefully scanned and mapped the core challenges facing his constituents promising to deliver quality representation that will directly improve lives across the senatorial district.

If elected senator, Prince Lekan Adewoye said he will build upon philanthropic initiatives that he has been funding in his personal capacity noting that he has driven significant community development through his two primary humanitarian vehicles, the Nehemiah Mission and Lekan Adewoye Foundation which has gotten lives touched in several ways including sponsorship of 100 vulnerable children through primary school, several of whom have now transitioned into university graduates.

The Lekan Adewoye Foundation, he added, has also provided free healthcare to over 1,000 people and distributed free UTME forms to a substantial number of ambitious students in the senatorial district.

He also said before joining politics he held the opinion that providing support should be done privately and not publicly believing that what the right hand does the left hand should not know.

Prince Lekan Adewoye shared a deeply personal story of resilience to inspire young people in Kwara South and across the country who may be facing difficult circumstances. He noted that he rose from handling menial jobs to becoming a conglomerate leader.

As a youth, his academic excellence was recognized by the late foremost educationist, Dr Tai Solarin, who as a guest at the Government Secondary School, Ilorin, presented him with the award for Best Commercial Student, however, the sudden death of his father threw his life into a financial tailspin, derailing his original dream of becoming a chartered accountant.

Undeterred by adversity, Prince Adewoye took on menial jobs eventually saving N150,000 to launch his first business venture and through sheer grit, that small startup has since grown into a thriving business conglomerate.

He later went on to fulfill his academic ambitions, attending prestigious institutions both within Nigeria and abroad.

Addressing his political alignment, Prince Lekan Adewoye clarified that while he officially joined the APC five years ago, his commitment to progressive ideals spans decades submitting that he has been a staunch supporter of the progressive movement since the era of the ACN.

With a blend of entrepreneurial success, proven philanthropy, and a clear legislative focus on security and human capital, Prince Lekan Adewoye also said he is fully prepared to champion the interests of Kwara South at the highest level.
