2023:  Tinubu Urges Kwarans To Vote For APC To Sweep Away Corruption, Insecurity…Calls Gov Abdulrazaq ‘Honest’, ‘Hardworking Man’

Ahead of the general election scheduled to hold on  February 25 and March 11 2023, APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu and the party’s National Chairman, former senator Abdulahi Adamu on Tuesday urged Kwarans to vote for all APC candidates.

Tinubu also noted that voting for the APC will provide a platform for sweeping away corruption, money laundering, fraud , insecurity and other challenges.

The former Lagos state governor and Adamu said this while addressing a huge crowd of party members and supporters during the presidential campaign rally held at the Metropolitan Square, Ilorin, Kwara state on Tuesday.

Tinubu ,who noted that the campaign rally was to reassess and reassert the Kwara people’s freedom through democracy, made reference to the 2019 general election outcome in the state saying ‘let me congratulate you for your freedom, your freedom four years ago, it was well-pronounced, it was a thunderbolt across the country, and you deserve a great congratulations’.

 Posing a question to the crowd,  ‘are you going to cement that freedom? Tinubu  urged them to get their PVCs ready and vote for him and other APC candidates.

He added that the party’s symbol  ‘broom’ represents cleanliness and will help in  cleaning up money laundering ,  fraud , corruption, insecurity  and other challenges that the country had faced.

He also said some people had spread rumours that the campaign rally will not be held  on Tuesday but that it had since ‘happened in their lifetime’.

 ‘Yesterday , you heard all the rumours that today will not happen  but it is happening in your lifetime we thank you for believing in Ramani  Abdulazaq  we thank you for believing in him , he knows  how to behave, a  very honest  and a genuine hardworking man.

  On February 25,  he is going to bring you out to vote for the president of the federal republic of Nigeria  no other choice, you don’t vote for anybody else you vote for me and other APC candidates’ he said.

‘Kwarans, you have really surprised me. I have seen more than what I expected, and everyone has seen what Kwara has done today. You have said it loud and clear that you are better together. We pray and hope that this is translated to real vote on the 25th of February’ Abdulahi Adamu had earlier said

Giving his speech, Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq  emphasized the need for Kwarans to   continue to support APC  asserting that President Muhammadu Buhari has done exceedingly well adding that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu will build on his achievements.

‘This huge crowd is a testament to our standing with the people of Kwara State. It shows that we have won this election. Our presidential candidate has seen what we have done in this state. Kwara is APC. Kwara is actually one of the strongholds of the APC. Our members are happy. The people are happy. They have seen what we have done. We met a failed state in several sectors, and we have been able to tackle  the issues be it education, healthcare, and other sectors. All the indices have gone up in the right sense.

You need to continue to support this party at all levels. President Muhammadu Buhari has done exceedingly well. We need to build on his success. No person could have done what he has done, despite the economic downturn, Covid-19 pandemic, and global economic crisis. We must sustain this growth consistently. This will be continued by our incoming team led by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. 

Party faithful, I urge you to support and vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The progress we have in this state will be continued with Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We thank him for the support he gave us in 2019. He gave us full support in throwing out the termites in this state. We still want to thank Mr. President, who is away in Mauritania. He couldn’t be here but he will come back here. We appreciate his efforts and the support he has been giving this government for the progress of the state. You all know what we have been doing in this state from healthcare. Don’t allow the party of people of dubious characters to come back into this state. Don’t allow people who stole the UBEC funds to come back to this state. They could not even pay salaries. What are they coming to do?

Just last month, we paid N3.5bn for pensions and gratuities of 2009 and 2010. When we came in, there was no water works working in this state. We have 90 waterworks in this state right from the time of Sir Ahmadu Bello. They crashed everything. In fact, they were not paying counterpart funds in the health sector. Nothing’ he said.

Dimeji Bankole, Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed;  Senator Smart Adeyemi, Senator Yahaya Ibrahim Oloriegbe, Comrade Adams Oshiomole, Minister of Youth and Sports , Mr Sunday Dare; Speaker of Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Salihu Danladi, Kwara state APC Chairman, Prince Sunday Fagbemi; and other political bigwigs.

Nollywood stars including Alhaji Adebayo Salami, Mr Zack Orji, Prince Jide Kosoko , Mr Yinka Qadri and Bimbo Akintola also attended the campaign rally.

In an interview with Team@orientactualmags.com , Bimbo Akintola said Kwara is a beautiful state disclosing that she had visited the state to get cast in movies on different occasions through Femi Adebayo   and had always looked forward to visiting the state because of its serenity.

Bimbo noted that she was motivated to support Asiwaju Tinubu because he is a builder of men adding that a good number of political bigwigs in the country today were mentored by the APC presidential candidate, adding that if Tinubu becomes the president, he will change the face of the country and move the nation forward.

Nigeria will according to her become great and respected internationally if Tinubu gets elected as president next month.  

‘One of the things that I’ve always admired about Asiwaju is the fact that he’s a builder of men. All the young people we have in politics today, most of them are from Asiwaju; people like Fashola, Osinbajo, all the Lagos state governors that we’ve had. They’re all from Asiwaju, which shows that when you recognize your power, your intellectual power, it puts you the way you need to be so that you can make changes. And now we need a people- builder, somebody who understands that  one man cannot do everything. It’s going to take a team to take Nigeria out of its problems and move  the nation  forward. And that’s very important’ she said.
