Eid-el-Fitri: Asiwaju Of Oro Congratulates Kwarans, Urges ‘Security Consciousness’

Following the successful completion of the fasting period, the Asiwaju of Oro Kingdom, retired Surgeon Rear Admiral Abdulazeez Adebayo Afolayan has sent his greetings and best wishes to Muslims in Oro, Irepodun local Government and other parts of Kwara State on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitri.

In a statement made available to Team@orientactualmags.com on Thursday, retired Surgeon Rear Admiral Abdulazeez Adebayo Afolayan urged Muslims in the state to carry on the spirit of unity and kindness and also be security conscious.

‘On behalf of the Oloro of Oro, HRM, Oba Joel Olaniyi  Titiloye Olufayo II and the Oloro-in-Council,  I extend our heartfelt congratulations to the entire Muslim Ummah in Oro Kingdom on the joyous occasion of Eid el-Fitr 1447AH.

Following 30 days of fasting, prayer, and deep spiritual reflection, this blessed day marks a significant milestone of spiritual rejuvenation and thanksgiving. We pray that Almighty Allah (SWT) will accept the sacrifices, acts of worship, and earnest supplications rendered throughout this sacred period.

With security challenges facing us in the country, I urge us all to be security conscious, and to reinforce our determination to root out criminalities in our respective domains. 

As we celebrate with families and loved ones,  I urge all faithful to carry on the noble lessons of Ramadan—patience, generosity, humility, and love for one another.

Eid-el-Fitr is a time to embrace the spirit of unity and kindness, we therefore urge everyone to look out for the less privileged friends, brothers, and sisters, extending a helping hand to share the joys of this moment with them. Our strength lies in our compassion and our solidarity with the vulnerable in our society.

In these challenging times, we must also use this occasion to pray for the continued peace, stability, and economic prosperity of our nation. 

May the lessons of tolerance and peace foster harmonious coexistence among citizens of all faiths.
