2023 World Peace Day: Ex-Army Chief, Faruk Yahaya, Osun Poly Rector, Nasir Abdulkadir , Others Honoured At Awards Event In Abuja
Former Chief of Army Staff, retired Lieutenant General Faruk Yahaya , retired Major General V.O Ezugwu, Rector, Osun state College of Technology, Esa Oke, Dr. Samson Akinbamide Omobayo Adegoke, Iyaloja General of Nigeria , Chief Dr. Folasade Tinubu-Ojo, Chairman, NAS TV, Africa and D-Positive Global Impact Foundation, who is also Senator Salihu Mustapha’s Technical Adviser on Jobs and Skill Development, Mr. Nasir Abdulkadir and other prominent Nigerians were honoured during an awards event that was held in Abuja last week.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the event that was held at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Abuja, had former Chief of Policy and Plans of the Nigerian Army , retired Lieutenant General L .O Adeosun as Special Guest of Honour, Professor Joy Eyisi, Director of SIWES at the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), gave the Keynote speech while Honourable Babatunde Lekan Olatunji, a former member of Osun state House of Assembly, was the Guest Speaker.
The event was held to mark the 2023 International Day of Peace (IDP). This year’s International Day of Peace (IDP) had as its theme ‘ Actions for Peace: Our Ambition for the #GlobalGoals’.
The International Day of Peace (IDP) is celebrated annually on September 21 , and it is day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, through observance of non-violence and cease-fire across the world for 24 hours.
Mr. Nasir Abdulqadri and others were honoured with ‘Knight of World Peace’ and Fellowship of World Institute for Peace during the awards event and this was done in recognition of their efforts to promote global peace and unity.
The event was also attended by the Executive Chairman of the World Institute for Peace Chief Lamina Kamaludeen Omotoyosi, Engineer (Mrs.) Fatima Abubakar, and other prominent Nigerians-Team@orientactualmags.com
